Capterra is looking for an experienced Design Operations professional to help increase operational excellence and keep the team focused, efficient, and creative. Our ideal candidate is a highly collaborative person with experience managing projects in a digital product environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the operational strategy for the design team: from tools to workflows, find a seamless way to take in requests and deliver on-time projects that exceed expectations

  • Manage an effective and efficient design team, including goal setting, guidance in professional development, and new team member onboarding

  • Partner with designers and product managers to coordinate and prioritize projects and resources

  • Create and track the design team roadmap and pipeline of in-flight work

  • Serve as the main point of contact and resource on design projects, with a focus on communication of scope, effort estimates, timelines, status, etc.


  • 3+ years of experience with Project Management

  • 3+ years of Design Ops / Program Management experience on a digital product design team, or equivalent experience as a Producer at a design agency

  • 2+ years of experience managing a team of designers

  • Solid understanding of digital product design teams and process, including discovery/research, exploration, iteration, and delivery

  • Demonstrated experience developing pipelines for sharing and critiquing design work

  • Solid understanding of and experience with building and maintaining business relationships across teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Powerpoint / Google Slides

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent and highly-related work experience required
