Digital Development Lead

In the coming months Lilly.com will be transformed to primarily focus on HCP and patient needs and become the central customer site for all brands and affiliates. Lilly will create a global standard for web pages based on our customer needs while dramatically reducing the number of Lilly-owned websites that are maintained in order to: Deliver a better customer experience, Improve compliance; and Lower operating costs. An Enterprise Website Strategy Design team is being created to transform Lilly’s customer engagements via the new global website strategy. All parts of the organization will be accountable for their functional content, (for example Corporate Affairs will continue to be responsible for the Lilly Brand content) but the overall customer experience and design strategy will be led by Marketing and IT, working with a cross-functional leadership team made up of Corporate Affairs, Medical, Legal, Privacy and Regulatory. 

The new Enterprise Website Strategy Design team will help deliver our “one Lilly” vision. Corporate Affairs recently led the effort to revamp Lilly.com and we will be working to integrate these lessons into the new frame.

The Enterprise Website Digital Development Lead will be part of the IT Enterprise Website Program team and will be accountable for overseeing a team of developers to develop enterprise web content for Global, Regional and Local Marketing , Medical Affair, Corporate Affairs teams, etc. This role requires a deep understanding of website design, development and emerging technologies. A successful candidate will interface with internal brand teams, multi-channel strategists, and external creative agencies to ensure compliance, code and architectural adherence. 
This fast paced role will put a successful candidate on the cutting edge of modern technology, major pharmaceutical brand strategy to deliver the right information to the right customer at the right time.
Additional responsibilities include influencing broad global medical, legal and regulatory processes to drive cost reduction and increased profitability within the channels.
This role will report to the IT Enterprise Website director.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical oversight and leadership to development staff
  • Provide technical oversight on development best practices
  • Provide technical consultation to external agencies
  • Develop an understanding of brand campaign strategy and assist in design patterns that
    meet those objectives
  • Provide technical oversight for third party integrations
  • Develop proof of concepts to drive strategy and innovation
  • Point of escalation for tactic issues
  • Create standardized models and design patterns that can be leveraged across brands
  • Assist in development of platform capabilities that can be leveraged across brands (e.g.
    federation, third party system integration, etc.)
  • Development and/or implementation of analytics and compliance tools to monitor the health
    and security of websites
  • Identify and drive global procedural improvements influencing regulatory, medical and legal 
    teams that can be leveraged across brands

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of digital marketing techniques and campaign techniques
  • Minimum of 3 years modern web technologies (AWS, Node, GitHub, etc.)
  • Minimum of 3 years web development experience (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
