Job Purpose

  • This is an Internship position to provide support to the Hill’s UK eCommerce Customer Development Team with their responsibilities to deliver  Share, Net Sales, Volume, GtN and margin targets


eCommerce Customers:-

  • Provide weekly analysis and eCommerce  insights to the eCommerce team from diverse sources including but not limited to: Retailer Insights Portals (e.g. Avora),  Brandview  Insights Website, Internal Sales Information Reporting
  • Capture and log all Hill’s and Hill’s competitor’s online promotional/NPD/social activity.
  • Monitor customer contractual agreement criteria is adhered to
  • Work with Hill’s brand managers on adhoc customer promotional opportunities if required eg asset creation from brief creation to execution.
  • Identify Gaps in eCommerce Assortment and make recommendations to close them
  • Work with Hill’s Digital Marketing team to identify and fix gaps in current eCommerce Fundamentals execution on retailer sites e.g. pack shots, naming conventions, key words & core content, A + content 
  • Ensure that all relevant ecommerce financial tracking is kept up to date; logging and coding is carried out accurately and on time. Eg promotional claims, BDF invoices
  • Assist with eCommerce Admin e.g: New Line Forms, Promotional Nominations
  • Focus on eCommerce search & search Taxonomy in Hill's "Year of Search", ensure that .agreed search parameters are adhered to.
  • Establish strong relationships with Retailer eCommerce Merchandising Teams


  • Attend customer meetings if required with Channel Manager Pet & eCommerce
  • Attend Trade Shows and key Consumer shows if required



  • Achieve results through appropriate setting of priorities, planning and organization
  • Effective interpersonal style, including the ability to communicate effectively with both internal & external customers
  • Self-motivated, self-reliant, proactive with a “can do” attitude


Travel Requirements

May be required to visit customers across the UK with Channel Manager or Associate eCommerce Customer Development Manager
